What is covered by this Limited Warranty?
This Limited Warranty is provided by MARSS by RTBM ("MARSS"). Subject to the conditions outlined below, MARSS warrants that any maintenance and repair services purchased and provided through MARSS (the "Services") will be free from defects in materials supplied by MARSS (such as parts used in the Services) and in the workmanship performed by technicians provided by MARSS.
This Limited Warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages, except where such exclusion is prohibited by law. MARSS disclaims any other implied warranties beyond those expressly contained within this Limited Warranty and our Terms of Service. The total amount of damages covered by this Limited Warranty will not exceed the actual costs of covered repairs.
This Limited Warranty extends to the original purchaser of the Services and is non-transferable. It does not apply to any individual who may purchase, borrow, use, or lease the vehicle after the Services were performed.
How long will coverage under this Limited Warranty last?
Except as otherwise specified, this Limited Warranty lasts for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, as measured from the date and odometer reading at the time the Services were provided (the "Warranty Period"). The Warranty Period for oil changes is 90 days or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first. If a part provided in the Services has a separate warranty that extends beyond the Warranty Period, that longer warranty will apply to the part, while this Limited Warranty will continue to apply to the labor performed by the technician. Any remedial work performed under this Limited Warranty will not restart the Warranty Period.
What will MARSS do if a Service is defective during the Warranty Period?
If either the materials provided or the work performed in the Services has a defect within the Warranty Period, we will, at our option: (1) assign a technician at no cost to correct the defect, including replacing any defective parts used in the Services, or (2) refund the full amount paid for the Services. (Refunds will be based on the actual amount paid for the Services and will exclude any promotions or discounts applied.) To maintain warranty eligibility, you must contact MARSS before taking your vehicle to any third party for diagnosis or repair, as doing so will void your warranty.
What is not covered by this Limited Warranty?
This Limited Warranty does not apply to:
Any work for which you have paid a technician directly, rather than making payment through MARSS.
Any work not scheduled and processed through MARSS, including (i) work performed by a technician originally introduced through MARSS but not scheduled through MARSS, (ii) work performed by a non-affiliated technician, or (iii) work performed by the vehicle owner.
Damage caused by abnormal use, neglect, misuse, alteration, tampering, or external causes such as accidents, theft, vandalism, fire, water, wind, hail, or freezing temperatures.
Any work performed on a commercially used vehicle.
Issues unrelated to the Services purchased (e.g., an oil change does not cover engine oil leaks due to faulty gaskets or seals).
Diagnostic or inspection services, including pre-purchase inspections.
Pre-existing conditions unknown to the technician prior to service that are discovered during or after service (e.g., aged plastic hoses breaking during a valve cover gasket replacement).
Additional repairs beyond those initially diagnosed by the technician, unless authorized and paid for through MARSS.
Consequential effects of performed services (e.g., a transmission fluid change revealing pre-existing transmission issues due to lack of maintenance)
This Limited Warranty is void when:
Any parts not ordered through MARSS are installed by the technician.
A service request deviates from manufacturer recommendations (e.g., requesting conventional oil when synthetic oil is required).
The customer seeks diagnosis or repair from a third party before allowing MARSS the opportunity to inspect and remedy the issue.
Determinations regarding the applicability of this Limited Warranty to specific claims are at the sole discretion of MARSS.
You will be charged for one hour of labor fees if a warranty claim is found to be unrelated to defects in materials or workmanship. Any additional non-warranty services requested at the same time as warranty service must be paid for separately.
How do you file a claim under this Limited Warranty?
To obtain service under this Limited Warranty, contact us at service@marssmobile.com within the Warranty Period. We will send a technician to inspect the issue.
If the issue is covered under this Limited Warranty, we will, at no additional cost: (i) arrange for a technician to perform remedial work or replace defective parts, or (ii) refund the amount paid for the Services (excluding discounts or promotions). If a refund is issued due to defective materials, we may require the return of the defective part(s) before processing the refund. MARSS will not cover core fee charges associated with returning defective parts.
The vehicle must be within our service area for pre-warranty checks and warranty work.
All other warranty scenarios not explicitly mentioned should be reviewed with customer support. If a defect in materials or workmanship is confirmed, we will schedule a new appointment to resolve the issue at no cost to you.
